The Maryland Paranormal Society (“MPS”) maintains exclusive ownership of all intellectual property created, published, displayed, or distributed under its name. This includes, but is not limited to, investigative reports, case files, audio and video recordings, photographic evidence, environmental data, research findings, written analyses, training materials, presentations, logos, branding elements, website content, social media content, and all related documentation.
All materials produced by MPS are protected under the United States Copyright Act (Title 17, U.S.C.) and applicable international copyright conventions. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, modification, public display, transmission, or commercial use of any MPS content is strictly prohibited without prior written authorization from the Maryland Paranormal Society.
1. Ownership of Investigative Materials
All evidence, recordings, photographs, environmental readings, and case documentation collected during investigations—whether conducted on private property, public property, or historical sites—remain the sole property of MPS. Clients may receive summaries or reports at the discretion of MPS, but such materials do not constitute a transfer of ownership.

No individual, organization, or third party may:

Alter, edit, or create derivative works from MPS materials

Use MPS branding, logos, or identity markers

Present MPS investigative findings as their own

Any such use without written permission constitutes copyright infringement.
3. Digital Rights & Online Content
All digital content—including website text, images, videos, social media posts, digital publications, and electronic communications—is protected under federal copyright law. Automated scraping, downloading, or archiving of MPS digital content is prohibited.
4. Licensing & Permissions
Requests for licensing, reproduction, or authorized use of MPS materials must be submitted in writing. Approval is granted solely at the discretion of the Maryland Paranormal Society and may include additional terms, conditions, or fees.
5. Enforcement & Legal Remedies
MPS reserves the right to pursue civil remedies and damages for any unauthorized use of its intellectual property. This may include injunctive relief, statutory damages, recovery of legal fees, and other remedies available under federal law.
6. Trademarks & Branding
All logos, insignias, slogans, and branding associated with the Maryland Paranormal Society are protected under trademark law. Unauthorized use or imitation is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
